What it does
The Modiewark AC detects alternating electric or electromagnetic fields, working as both a proximity and touch device:
Its switching action identifies AC from 110 volts up to 750,000 volts, at distances of 200–300mm from the source. Detection range varies by conductor: roughly 100mm for a single 240V live wire, narrowing to around 50mm for a bunched neutral and earth in a flexible cable.
